Ukrainian authorities have claimed to have attacked a Wagner Group headquarters, owned by an oligarch close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, located in the town of Kadiivka, in the Lugansk region (east), with no casualties so far.
«Everyone is being mobilized. The racists have again started to recover bodies in the occupied territories,» said the governor of the Ukrainian Lugansk region, Serhi Haidai, through a message on his Telegram account. «Something went ‘click’ in the headquarters of the ‘Wagnerians’. The land is like glass to them,» he has added.
The Wagner Group has deployed mercenaries in eastern Ukraine as part of the conflict unleashed in 2014 in the Donbas region, where Lugansk is located. Moscow announced in September the annexation of this region along with Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporiyia, all partially occupied after the invasion unleashed on February 24.
