The advisor to the Ukrainian Presidency, Mikhail Podoliak, has assured that Russia «has already lost this war», but called on the international community to take measures to «prevent the repetition» of another such invasion.

«After Ukraine liberates the territories and the defeat of the Russian Federation is officially formalized, everything possible should be done to prevent a repetition of Russian aggression,» Podoliak said on his official Twitter profile.

In this regard, the Ukrainian advisor considers that the main keys are the implementation of a special court to judge the crimes committed during the war; the application of sanctions to the aggressors; and the inclusion of Ukraine in the Atlantic Alliance.

In this way, Podoliak once again reiterated the main demands formulated by Ukraine in recent months, whose main objective is both to punish Russia for the invasion and to guarantee Ukraine’s security and defense in the future.

Although the Ukrainian advisor has expressed his conviction that Moscow has already lost the war, the reality is that the fighting is still going on and the Russian Armed Forces are launching attacks against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, leaving the country in an extreme situation at the gates of winter.
