Belarusian authorities have warned that military convoys carrying equipment have been moved near the southern border with Ukraine in the midst of Russia’s invasion.
The Belarusian Hajun project, a military activity monitoring group, has indicated on its Telegram channel that the group of regional forces includes Russian and Serbian troops and confirmed that some of the equipment has been moved during military exercises in the city of Brest, in the southwest of the country.
«At least 24 units are moving towards the border with Ukraine. Military equipment such as tanks, mortar batteries, heavy vehicles and other engineering equipment has also been deployed,» the group said.
On December 7, the Belarusian government announced the transfer of military equipment in an attempt to deal with the «anti-terrorist threat». Likewise, the Ministry of Defense has confirmed the participation of the Russian Army in «tactical» operations in the neighboring country.
