The American rapper Kirshnik Khari Ball, better known as Takeoff and member of the trio Migos, has died victim of a shooting recorded early Tuesday morning at a bowling alley in Houston (Texas), without being clear for now the circumstances of this event.

The shooting, which left one dead and two wounded, took place at around 2.40 am. The fatal victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and neck and emergency services could do nothing to save his life, according to the local channel KPRC, which identifies the victim as a black man between 20 and 30 years of age.

According to police sources quoted by Variety magazine, the victim is Takeoff, 28, who was at the scene with another band mate: Quavious Keyate Marshall, aka Quavo. Both share a band in Migos with Kiari Kendrell Cephus.

The group emerged in 2008 in Georgia and scored their first major hit, ‘Versace’, five years later, although the number one Billboard chart hit for them in 2016, with ‘Bad and Boujee’. Quavo and Takeoff had also tried their luck as a duo and released their latest video just this week.
