Polish authorities have assured that the results of the investigation into the explosive gift delivered by Ukraine this week will determine what political measures Warsaw may take against Kiev.
«We are waiting for the results of the investigation. The results will decide on possible consequences,» Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said, according to PAP news agency.
The government spokesman also acknowledged that Poland will have to «draw certain conclusions», but before that it is necessary to «clarify one hundred percent the events that took place».
The Polish Interior Ministry announced on Thursday an explosion in the premises of the National Police Headquarters, injuring at least three people, including the commander-in-chief of the Police, Jaroslaw Szymczyk.
The Interior Ministry confirmed that the explosion occurred when opening a gift delivered by the Ukrainian security services to Szumczyk himself during a recent working visit to Ukrainian territory.
