The U.S. National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, held a meeting this Friday with the President of Egypt, Abdelfatá al Sisi, with whom he highlighted bilateral support for «global security, economic challenges and Human Rights».
«Sullivan met today with President Abdelfatá al Sisi to discuss the multifaceted strategic partnership between the United States and Egypt,» a White House missive wields, affirming that the United States «strongly» supports Egypt’s economic reform program, as well as the International Monetary Fund program that will support its implementation.
Likewise, the US executive has «strongly» supported Egypt’s water security, as well as a «swift diplomatic resolution» on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam that «safeguards the interests of all parties».
In this regard, Sullivan has thanked Al Sisi for his participation in the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, also congratulating him on the success of the COP27 climate COP held in mid-November in Sharm el Sheikh.
