The President of Peru, Dina Boluarte, thanked on Friday the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, for his support to the Peruvian government and his willingness to nurture the relationship between the two countries.
«The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, had a telephone conversation with the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, who reiterated the support of the United States to the Government she leads,» said the Peruvian Presidency in a message on the social network Twitter.
Likewise, the Peruvian Foreign Ministry has detailed that Blinken has reiterated the support of the United States to Peru and «its willingness to continue strengthening the nurtured bilateral relationship».
«Blinken has said that Peru is an important ally of the United States and has offered to continue supporting the democratic institutional process,» reads a statement released by the Peruvian Foreign Ministry.
Boluarte, accompanied by the head of the Peruvian diplomacy, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, thanked the United States for its willingness and reiterated Peru’s commitment to continue working together on issues of mutual interest.
