Two armed individuals killed two men on Saturday night in the Villa Andrea neighborhood of Baranoa, in the northern Colombian department of Atlántico.
The attackers arrived on a motorcycle and surprised the victims when they were talking in front of a house with other people, according to the police investigation, quoted by RTVC channel.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday night in front of the home of one of the victims. One of the deceased has been identified as Rafael Del Valle, 29 years old, who received a bullet in the head and another in the back, and died at the scene.
The other victim is Carlos José Zamora Castillo, 29 years old, who received three bullet impacts: one in the left cheekbone, one in the back and one in the left leg. He was taken to the local hospital, but the doctors could only certify his death during the intervention.
The authorities have opened an investigation, but for the moment they have not put forward any hypothesis as to the motive for what happened. This is the fourth murder registered during the month of December in the municipality of Baranoa.
