Taiwan’s Defense Ministry estimated Friday that 11 fighter jets and three Chinese Army ships have approached its air and sea space.
As detailed by the Defense Ministry in a statement, at least «11 aircraft and three ships of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army have been detected» in its surrounding region at 6 a.m. (local time).
In response, the Taiwan Armed Forces have monitored the situation and assigned aircraft to conduct combat air patrols to protect the Taiwan area.
Navy ships and land-based missile systems have also been mobilized to respond to «these activities» by China, according to the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense.
