The Turkish Foreign Ministry has summoned the French ambassador in Ankara, Herve Magro, in protest against the alleged propaganda in favor of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) released by Paris.

The Turkish authorities have thus shown their displeasure at what they consider to be «black propaganda» launched by the French government in favor of the PKK – considered a terrorist group in Turkey – following last Friday’s shooting at a Kurdish cultural center in Paris.

Ankara has urged Magro to publicize the alleged acts of terrorist violence committed by the PKK because, they say, it would be beneficial for France, which would then act prudently and prevent the advance of this organization.

Already on Sunday, Turkey’s Defense Minister Hulusi Akar claimed that France has «fed» the PKK, all this in the context of the protests following the aforementioned shooting in Paris, which resulted in three dead and several wounded.

«The snake fed by the French started to bite (its tail). Everyone should now see the true face of this terrorist organization,» Akar expressed, adding that it is «problematic to help and support terrorists.»

French authorities were quick to react to Friday’s event in Paris, and even the City Hall of the 10th arrondissement — scene of the shooting — raised the Kurdish flag on its façade. French President Emmanuel Macron called the incident a «hateful» attack against the Kurds in France.

The next day, on Saturday, hundreds of people protested in the Republic Square in the French capital, Paris, in rejection of the shooting perpetrated by the man, who has admitted this Sunday a «pathological hatred» of foreigners.

In fact, hundreds of people have again taken to the streets of the French capital on Monday to pay tribute to the three people killed in that event and under the slogan «Truth and justice», according to DPA.
