North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has stressed «the importance and necessity of mass production of tactical nuclear weapons» during his speech at the plenary meeting of the Workers’ Party.
Kim Jong Un has accused South Korea of «openly touting preparations for war» and sees in its southern neighbors its «undoubted enemy,» North Korean news agency KCNA reports.
In his speech, the North Korean leader also assured that both the United States and South Korea are targeting his government, and promised that his country would launch the first military satellite and develop a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile, which could be used to deliver a warhead to the United States.
«The situation calls for redoubling efforts to overwhelmingly strengthen the military force to fully guarantee the sovereignty, security and fundamental interests of the Republic in response to the worrisome military moves of the U.S. and other hostile forces,» he added in his speech.
