Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatiana Moskalkova confirmed Monday that she plans to meet this week in Turkey with her Ukrainian counterpart, Dmitry Lubinez.
Asked about the possibility of meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart, Moskalkova detailed that the meeting will take place between January 12 and 14 in Turkey, which has been mediating between Russia and Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion, TASS reported.
«I confirm that I am planning such a meeting. A large forum organized by the Ombudsman of Turkey will be held in Turkey. And we talked about the possibility of a meeting and a rough agenda,» the Russian Human Rights Commissioner has asserted.
However, Moskalkova has not detailed what issues will be discussed at the talks with Lubinez. In this regard, Ukraine has not confirmed the meeting.
On December 8, Moskalkova announced that she was negotiating with Lubinets on the mutual return of citizens against whom criminal proceedings had been initiated, according to ‘Kommersant’.
