At least five people have died after a small plane crashed in the northeastern Argentine city of Villa Angela, just minutes after the aircraft was stolen from a flying club.
The light aircraft, a Cessna 206 model, plunged to the ground seven kilometers after takeoff because the five thieves did not open the naphtha passage — a hydrocarbon mixture –, according to ‘Diario Norte’.
One of the occupants was ejected and died immediately, and the other four were incinerated. Two bricklayers saw how the plane lost altitude and fell to the ground, catching fire, and later alerted the police.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, which has commissioned an investigation to clarify the facts, the identification of the bodies will be difficult due to their total deterioration.
