Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoli Antonov on Wednesday accused the U.S. State Department of pushing Ukrainian authorities to commit terrorist acts in Russia.
Asked about State Department spokesman Ned Price’s statements on the possibility of Ukraine’s use of U.S. weapons in Crimea, Antonov has assured that Washington has «increasingly militant» rhetoric, TASS news agency has reported.
«The State Department, through its statements far from reality that ‘Crimea is Ukraine’, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine can use US weapons to protect its territory, in fact, pushes the Kiev regime to commit terrorist acts in Russia,» the Russian ambassador to the United States has remonstrated.
«Hearing such comments from Washington, the criminals in Kiev will again feel total permissiveness. The risks of an escalation of the conflict will only intensify,» Antonov said, according to the agency.
Meanwhile, he launched an attack on U.S. journalists who, according to Antonov, «justify the attacks» of Kiev on Crimea by supporting «this attitude» of the Biden Administration.
