The Chilean Foreign Ministry has summoned this Friday the ambassador of Argentina in Santiago, Rafael Bielsa, to express his discomfort for questioning the rejection of Gabriel Boric’s Executive to a port and mining project.
«It is not acceptable that he has the luxury of caricaturing a decision of President Boric’s administration, which involved a commission of ministers of state in a complex political situation», according to the Chilean government, as reported by the newspaper ‘La Tercera’.
Bielsa affirmed, after the government rejected the construction of a mining project, that «five species woke up jumping» for «not disappearing», in an ironic tone and in a clear sign of disagreement with the decision.
In this sense, the Argentine ambassador pointed out that this initiative, rejected by the Executive for its impact on the environment in Coquimbo, was a possibility for Argentina to ship trucks through the Agua Negra pass, as reported by the newspaper ‘Clarín’.
