Russia’s Defense Ministry on Saturday reported advances in the Zaporiyia region of southeastern Ukraine, where Russian and Ukrainian forces have begun to build up in recent hours, according to the latest assessment from the UK Ministry of Defense.
Russian military spokesman General Igor Konashenkov has announced that at least 30 Ukrainian fighters have been killed during the advance of Russian forces.
Furthermore, in a press conference reported by the TASS agency, Russia has assured that Ukraine has lost «two armored combat vehicles, two pick-up trucks, and an Akatsia self-propelled howitzer».
Hours earlier, the British Ministry of Defense announced a «significant» concentration of forces which have engaged in «skirmishes and artillery exchanges», although so far they had refrained from engaging in «a large-scale offensive effort».
