Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky accepted on Tuesday the resignation of the deputy advisor to the Ukrainian Presidency, Kirilo Tymoshenko, without details of the reasons for the decision having emerged for the time being.
The Ukrainian Presidency has published on its website a brief decree with Timoshenko’s dismissal and stressed that «it is in line with the request submitted» by the advisor himself.
Timoshenko has posted a message on her Telegram account in which she thanks Zelenski «for the trust and the opportunity to carry out good deeds every day and every minute.» «I thank the heads of regional military administrations. You and I were able to build the most powerful team in the country,» he has said.
He has also thanked Ukrainian mayors «for being constructive in disputes» and Ukrainians «for trusting the cause». «Thanks to the Armed Forces for saving and defending our country. Thanks to my wife and son for their understanding and support. An honor,» he concluded.
Tymoshenko’s announcement has come amid speculation about possible changes in the Ukrainian government, two days after Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Community Development Vasil Lozinski was dismissed after he was arrested for allegedly taking bribes.
