The Belarusian Border Guard on Friday accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of carrying out «provocative» activities on the border in the midst of Russia’s invasion of Ukrainian territory.
Sources close to the matter have explained that several security cameras installed at a checkpoint on the Belarusian-Polish border have recorded «movements by Ukrainian forces advancing towards the border».
Thus, they specified that in addition to armed uniformed men, the cameras have recorded the advance of an amphibious armored vehicle for transporting infantry personnel.
«After stopping in the area, the vehicle turned around and proceeded to enter the Ukrainian territory,» the Belarusian border agency said, according to information from the BelTA news agency.
The Belarusian forces, for their part, have taken «defensive» measures and have adopted attack positions in view of the possibility of «having to face a possible aggression in the event of the border being violated», they emphasized.
