The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force on Saturday launched a new satellite carrier into space, the domestically manufactured ‘Qaem 100’.
It is the first three-stage, solid-fueled satellite carrier developed by the Guard Aerospace Force and is capable of carrying satellites weighing up to 80 kilograms into a 500-kilometer orbit above the Earth.
The carrier will be used for the launch of the future ‘Nahid’ satellite, manufactured by Iran’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reports.
