Poland’s Armed Forces have moved their Patriot missile systems to a military airfield west of Warsaw in a maneuver the government claims is important for the training of one of its brigades.
Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak reported on Twitter the transfer of the equipment from Sochaczew, west of the capital, to the Bemowo base. He also shared images of the convoy that took part in the work.
The minister did not allude to the conflict in neighboring Ukraine, despite the fact that the deployment of Patriot and other anti-aircraft defense systems has been a recurrent topic of debate. Several countries allied to Kiev, in fact, have promised this type of technology to reinforce the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
