At least seven people have been killed in a fire at a hotel in Russia’s capital, Moscow, Russia’s Investigative Committee confirmed Wednesday.
The agency has indicated that the dead include two children and added that eight other people have been injured, while stressing that «the investigation considers several versions, including the possibility of arson.»
«Investigators of the Moscow Investigative Committee continue to establish all the circumstances of the death of these people as a result of a fire in the center of Moscow,» it has noted via its Telegram account.
Thus, he has stressed that «investigators have examined the scene, ordered forensic and technical tests and questioned witnesses and hotel managers.» «The official documentation has been confiscated and is being studied,» he concluded.
The fire broke out late Tuesday on the fifth floor of the MKM Hotel in Moscow, located on Mezhdunarodnaya Street, as reported by the Russian news agency Interfax.
