U.S. President Joe Biden has congratulated the Democratic Party candidates who won their races on Tuesday during the midterm elections.
«Tonight, the president made congratulatory calls to Massachusetts Governor-elect Maura Healey, Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee (…), Colorado Governor Jared Polis,» reads a statement issued by the White House.
The president also congratulated Senator-elect Peter Welch, as well as the new members of the House of Representatives, Jared Polis and Abigail Spanberger. Finally, Biden congratulated Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on his victory.
So far, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party have not provided changes in their respective Senate benches, although the Democrats have lost three seats in the Lower House to the Republicans in Florida.
