Earlier this year, Hassan was considered one of the Democratic senators most likely to lose her seat, plagued by low economic indicators and the low approval rating of the country’s president.
For his part, the Republican candidate is a retired military man who defends former U.S. President Donald Trump’s conspiracy theory about electoral fraud in the 2020 presidential elections.
