
Turkmenistan and Tajikistan held a meeting on Thursday at which they agreed to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing the need for «regular contacts at the highest level».
Representatives of the foreign ministers of these Central Asian countries have met to discuss the development of political and diplomatic dialogue, stressing the effectiveness of the partnership between the leaders of the two ministerial portfolios.
The diplomats highly appreciated the level of cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, which noted that they considered «the improvement of the legal framework of bilateral relations».
The parties stressed the importance of developing conditions for better trade, economic and investment ties, including increasing exports and imports, «expanding the range of goods and services provided».
They also agreed on cooperation in cultural and humanitarian, health, educational and scientific matters. They also addressed international and regional issues «of mutual interest».
