German Ambassador to Kiev Anka Feldhusen on Friday welcomed the liberation of the city of Kherson by Ukrainian troops and reported that she will try to spend her next summer vacation there.
«One more long-awaited victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the liberation of Kherson. I hope to spend my vacation in the summer of 2023 in the Kherson region,» Feldhus said on his profile on the social network Twitter.
The German diplomat has shared in the same publication a photo of herself in a port of Kherson in 2019, and took the opportunity to pay tribute to «those who bravely defend and liberate their homeland.»
The Ukrainian Army has finally entered Kherson following the flag-raising in the town’s main square, an act that came after Russian forces announced their withdrawal in a decision applauded by Kiev.
