Turkish opposition deplores deaths in Istanbul blast

Turkish opposition parties have lamented the deaths that occurred this Sunday in the Istanbul explosion that has claimed the lives of six people, according to the latest official balance sheet.

«To our citizens who have lost their lives in the explosion that occurred on Istiklal Avenue, I wish God’s mercy and a speedy recovery to those who have been injured,» Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kiliçdaroglu tweeted.

Also the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) has expressed its «deep sorrow and grief over the explosion that has killed six of our fellow citizens and injured 53 others.» «Our grief and sorrow is great. We wish God’s mercy to the citizens who lost their lives,» it added.

Finally, the Party of Good (Iyi) has expressed its condemnation through its chairwoman, Meral Aksener. «I strongly condemn this vile attack. We would like those responsible to be caught as soon as possible,» she said.
