Ukrainian authorities on Monday raised to 470 the number of children killed since the beginning of the Russian invasion, unleashed on February 24, 2022 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement posted on its Telegram account that so far it has also confirmed 948 minors »injured of varying severity» as a result of the hostilities and stressed that »these figures are not final», as »work continues at the sites of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied territories and in the liberated territories».

In this sense, he said that Donetsk oblast is the one which accumulates the highest number of victims, with 451 dead and wounded. Behind are Kharkov region with 275, Kiev region with 127, Kherson region with 94, Zaporiyia region with 89, Mikolaiv region with 86, Chernobyl region with 68, Lugansk and Dnipropetrovsk regions with 66.

»’Children of War» is a platform where you can report and find all the information about children who have suffered because of the war launched by Russia against Ukraine,» the Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Office has reiterated.
