Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba on Friday urged not to consider the expected Ukrainian counteroffensive as a »decisive battle», as this possibility »distorts» the actions of the Armed Forces on the ground.
»If one counteroffensive is needed, there will be one. If two or more are needed, there will be two or more. This is not a conflict that can be frozen», Kuleba said, adding that »a decisive battle is the one that would lead to the total liberation of the Ukrainian territories».
Kuleba reminded, however, at a press conference with Baltic and Northern European foreign leaders from Odessa, that Kiev will fight »until victory». »All that is clear,» he added, Ukrinform news agency reported.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said Friday that preparations for a counteroffensive against Russian forces are in their final stage and added that »training is being completed».
»In addition to obtaining weapons and military equipment, our military must know how to use them. We have received very modern systems», explained Reznikov during a press conference where he explained that the moment of launching the operation will be determined by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army.
