At least ten people have been injured on Wednesday night in a gas explosion in central Istanbul.
The explosion has sparked a fire that has spread to the apartments on the second floor of the building. However, firefighters have quickly brought the flames under control.
According to the emergency services, at least ten people who were in the building and who were walking in the street were injured. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
Police and medical teams are still at the scene of the incident. Authorities explained that work was being carried out on the gas infrastructure in the neighborhood, Turkish news agency Anadolu reported.
