At least twelve dead and 31 injured, three of them seriously, after a construction truck collided with a transport truck in the city of Antioch, Turkey.
The construction truck apparently lost control, collided with the transport truck and went out into the opposite lane and became a »fireball» where it hit nine vehicles and two minibuses that were parked, according to the Turkish news agency DHA.
Following the notification, police, fire, health and rescue teams were on the scene and were responsible for transferring the injured to hospitals and extinguishing the fire.
Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca reported that 22 ambulances and three teams of the National Medical Rescue Team were sent to the scene of the accident and sent a message to all those affected: »I wish God’s mercy for our citizens who lost their lives and condolences to their families. We will do everything possible to make sure that the injured recover their health as soon as possible. I wish the best soon to each one of them».
