UK Minister Ben Wallace announced Wednesday that London will send helicopters to Ukraine for the first time since the outbreak of the war with Russia, triggered on February 24 by the invasion order given by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Wallace has indicated that the United Kingdom will also send another 10,000 artillery munitions, as reported by the British television channel BBC, which has detailed that the helicopters sent to Kiev will be of the ‘Sea King’ type. The first helicopter is said to have already arrived on Ukrainian territory.
The British defense minister made the announcement during a meeting in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, to discuss military support to Kiev. UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made his first trip to Kiev over the weekend, from where he announced a new military aid package.
