UK Intelligence said Wednesday that it believes Russia has already used up all its stockpile of drones from Iran as part of the invasion of Ukraine.
In a brief statement, the British Ministry of Defense has pointed out that Russia «has virtually wiped out the supply of Iranian drones» after carrying out massive attacks on Ukrainian soil.
Thus, it has indicated that these drones were composed of a mix of reusable and traditional weapon systems. «Russia has used these weapons against Ukrainian tactical military targets. It is possible that Russian commanders tried to hit medical facilities with these drones,» he said.
«Russia has used the drone campaign to compensate for the lack of cruise missiles, but it has met with limited success. Most of the drones deployed have been eliminated,» London said.
British intelligence has failed to record such deployments since last Nov. 17. «It is likely that Russia has exhausted its resources ahead of schedule in the face of an inability to produce domestic cruise missiles any faster,» he added.
