The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday arrested 18 more Palestinians allegedly involved in terror offenses, including three members of the Lion’s Den militia, in a series of raids carried out overnight at several locations in the West Bank.

Among those arrested were three members of the militia and fifteen suspects, as reported by the Israeli army, which has qualified that this is the largest operation launched after 19 people «have been killed in Palestinian attacks» throughout the year.

Thus, the three members of the militia have been arrested in the city of Nablus a day after Israeli troops killed the leader of the Lion’s Den along with four other alleged members in the framework of an operation that also resulted in the dismantling of a laboratory of explosive devices.

Israeli authorities accuse members of the militia – which they consider a terrorist group – of carrying out attacks against army checkpoints, Israeli troops and civilians on the West Bank border.

Tonight, according to the IDF, they arrested Mohammed Nabulsi, brother of Ibrahim Nabulsi, leader of Fatah’s armed wing who was killed during an Israeli operation in August. This precisely led to the creation of the militia.

Now, his brother has been arrested and charged with carrying weapons, manufacturing explosives and being part of a terrorist organization, according to The Times of Israel.

The 18 suspects will be interrogated by members of the Shin Bet, the Israeli Intelligence.
