Ukrainian authorities in the town of Melitopol announced Friday that the country’s Armed Forces have launched an offensive against Russian troops stationed outside the town.
As reported by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, on his Telegram channel, the region as a whole is getting «hellishly hot» for Russia’s troops. «The invaders will be even hotter,» he has asserted, thus promising further attacks.
According to Fedorov, the Ukrainian offensive has been carried out in Terpinia, north of Melitopol, and has left «dozens» of victims, which he has referred to with the terms ‘200’ and ‘300’, Soviet-era military code for dead and wounded, respectively.
The Ukrainian representative added that the wounded Russian invaders are being transferred to a hospital in the area. At the moment there is no further information about this explosion.
