Police in the northern Italian city of Modena have evicted on Monday an illegal party with thousands of attendees that had been held since Saturday in an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the Italian city.
About 300 policemen have entered the factory to stop the illegal rave while inside several people had barricaded themselves to stop the police device, while others dismantled the tents and stereos.
The Halloween party, which hosted more than 3,500 attendees at a time, was supposed to last until Tuesday, according to organizers. As part of the eviction, the agents have requested the data of the attendees.
The illegal party has provoked disapproval in the new right-wing government, led by Giorgia Meloni, in Rome over the weekend, with Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi calling for police intervention.
For his part, the leader of the right-wing League party and current Transport Minister, Matteo Salvini, has welcomed the eviction action and posted a message on his Twitter profile: «The fun is over».
