Elon Musk, owner as of this Friday of the social network Twitter, has reported the creation of a «content moderation board» for the platform that will be in charge of giving the go-ahead to the reinstatement of certain profiles suspended by the previous administration.

«Twitter will form a content moderation council with very diverse views. No major content decisions will be made or accounts reinstated before this council meets,» Musk said on his official social network profile.

This announcement came just moments after several U.S. media outlets reported that rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, had regained access to his Twitter account.

The platform decided to suspend the renowned singer’s profile in early October after he posted anti-Semitic slogans. This publication of Ye has brought him other setbacks, including the end of its collaboration with several brands, including the German Adidas.

Musk -CEO of Tesla and SpaceX- has completed the purchase of Twitter for a value of 44,000 million dollars (a similar figure in euros) and has carried out the dismissal of its main executives.

In this way, the company’s shareholders will receive 54.20 dollars for each share and Twitter will become the property of the tycoon, who has already announced his plans to change the social network’s content moderation policies, opting for «greater freedom of expression».

Musk has repeatedly expressed his disagreement with the social network’s practice of permanently banning users who repeatedly violate its policies, which raises the possibility that users, such as former U.S. President Donald Trump, may return to the platform.

However, Trump himself has expressed his best wishes to Musk at the head of the platform, while assuring that he will remain a user of Truth Social, the platform he himself promoted after being expelled from the blue bird’s social network.
