The Russian government claimed to have destroyed on Friday a «foreign mercenary» base in the vicinity of the Ukrainian city of Mikolaiv, without giving a casualty toll, in the framework of the invasion unleashed in February.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told reporters that four ammunition depots had also been destroyed and four Ukrainian drones shot down, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.
He also said that Russian troops have repelled several Ukrainian army attacks in the direction of Kupiansky and Krasno-Limansky and put the number of Ukrainian servicemen killed in the fighting in the last 24 hours at 110.
Shortly before, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had claimed to have killed 840 Russian servicemen in fighting over the past day and noted that about 75,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in action since the beginning of the invasion.
