The pro-Russian deputy governor of the Ukrainian Kherson region, Kirill Stremusov, has died in a traffic accident, the press office of the pro-Russian regional authorities has reported.
The Health Department of the Kherson region reported that there is no official information about Stremusov’s death, TASS news agency reported.
«I can confirm that Kirill had an accident. I have not yet received information about the death of the doctors. An ambulance went to the accident site,» said Vadim Ilmiev, the head of the regional health department. The car crashed on the highway leading from Kherson to Armiansk.
The acting governor of Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, confirmed the death of Stremusov, considered to be one of the pro-Russian leaders in this region.
Last September 28, Stremusov was issued a passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation after the annexation of this territory was formalized.
