North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui has warned the United States that it will take «fiercer» military action if it continues military activities with Seoul and Tokyo in the region.

«The more enthusiastic the U.S. is in the ‘enhanced offer of extended deterrence’ with its allies and the more it intensifies provocative and blustering military activities on the Korean peninsula, the fiercer the military reaction of the DPRK will be in direct proportion to it,» the minister has explained.

«It will pose a more serious, realistic and inevitable threat to the U.S. and its vassal forces,» Choe said, according to a statement carried by the North Korean news agency KCNA.

She also assured that the United States «is well aware that it is betting on what it will undoubtedly regret».

In this sense, the leader of the diplomatic portfolio has reproached the tripartite talks between Washington, Seoul and Tokyo, which, in her opinion, «will finally lead the situation on the Korean peninsula to an unpredictable phase».

«It is necessary to recall that the U.S. and its followers conducted large-scale war exercises for aggression one after another, but failed to contain the overwhelming reaction of the DPRK and, on the contrary, resulted in an escalation of its security crisis,» he has remonstrated.
