Ukrainian authorities have denounced Wednesday the death of two people in an attack executed by the Russian Army against the city of Kupiansk, located in the Kharkov region (east) and have detailed that the shells have hit a residential building, a school and a medical center.
«The occupants have attacked the city. A residential building and a clinic have been hit, while a school has been destroyed. Two pedestrians have been killed,» Kirilo Timoshenko, the ‘number two’ of the Ukrainian Presidency office, has said through a message on his Telegram account.
The head of the Kharkov Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, has pointed out that the attack has taken place at around 7.40 a.m. (local time) and has pointed out that the hit residential building has nine floors. He also said that two people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized.
«During the day, the occupants have attacked with artillery areas on the front line in Kharkov,» he has explained. «Our Armed Forces are holding their positions despite the constant Russian mortar and artillery attack,» Sinegubov said, before noting that Ukrainian forces have «neutralized» a Russian «sabotage and reconnaissance group» that tried to infiltrate Staritsa.»
