Slovakian authorities announced Monday the opening of a base intended to repair military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the midst of the Russian invasion of the territory.
Slovak Foreign Minister Ratislav Kacer has indicated that the base will be opened with the intention of repairing these materials and «sending them back to Ukrainian territory.» «Undoubtedly, there will be peace in Ukraine and we will be with them until the end, until this happens,» he has asserted in an interview granted to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
In this regard, he also indicated that the latest military aid package approved by the Slovak government includes «ammunition, thousands of MiG-29 missiles, winter clothing for soldiers and food».
«I think this is the ninth or tenth package, valued at almost 11 million euros and including all this,» he stressed before stressing that the country «will continue to deliver assistance.»
For his part, the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, thanked the country’s authorities for the «significant support» provided since the first days of the Russian invasion, which began at the end of February.
