The Ukrainian Armed Forces on Monday put the number of Russian servicemen killed in combat since the outbreak of the conflict, triggered on February 24 by the invasion order given by Russian President Vladimir Putin, at about 95,000.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has indicated in a message published on its official account on the social network Facebook that so far about 94,760 Russian servicemen have been «liquidated», including 620 during the last day of fighting.
He also noted that so far 2,966 tanks, 1,929 artillery systems, 211 air defense systems, 281 aircraft, 264 helicopters, 1,617 drones and 582 cruise missiles have been destroyed.
On the other hand, he has stressed that 4,544 vehicles and fuel tanks, 169 pieces of «special equipment» and 397 self-propelled and armored multiple rocket launchers have been destroyed. «The data is being updated. Hit the occupier. Let’s win together. Our strength is in the truth,» he concluded.
U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley said on Nov. 10 that Russia has suffered «more than 100,000» casualties, including military dead and wounded, as part of the invasion of Ukraine, before adding that the numbers among the Ukrainian ranks «are probably similar.»
