Ukrainian authorities reported Monday that in the last few hours their Embassy in Greece has received a «bloody» package, an object similar to those received over the last month in more than a dozen of the country’s diplomatic legations abroad.
The spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Oleg Nikolenko, has indicated in a statement released via Facebook that the package has arrived throughout the morning and explained that the sender «is the same as that of the rest of the envelopes» sent to other Ukrainian embassies and consulates abroad. «They come from a Tesla dealership in the German city of Sindelfingen,» he has clarified.
«The sender’s address is the same as that of the other envelopes that have arrived previously (…) The Greek police have opened an investigation into this,» he has asserted. «In total there are already 33 cases of threats that have been counted in 17 countries. One attempted terrorist attack, two landmines, one case of vandalism, one threat by letter and 28 suspicious packages,» he said.
Nikolenko thus recalled the words of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba: «No matter how much the enemies try to intimidate the Ukrainian diplomacy, they will not succeed because we are working for victory.
