Russian authorities have reported that at least two people have been killed and four others injured in a fire at a Russian oil refinery in Eastern Siberia.
As detailed by Russia’s Investigative Committee to TASS news agency, the two people lost their lives when the 2,500-square-meter Angarsk oil refinery caught fire.
«A technological unit of an industrial estate in Angarsk, Irkutsk region, caught fire today at 06.00 (local time). Four people were injured in the fire, one of whom was hospitalized with head trauma, and two lost their lives,» the department said in a statement.
Russian authorities have opened a criminal case for an alleged violation of industrial safety regulations, the agency has learned.
