A Yeti Airles plane crashed Sunday in the city of Pokhara, in central Nepal, with 72 people on board.
The plane had left Kathmandu for Pokhara at 10.33 a.m. (local time) and crashed on landing at Pokhara International Airport, on the banks of the Seti River.
Among the passengers were two pilots, two stewardesses and 68 passengers, six of whom were over the age of 18.
As reported by local media ‘Nepal News’, Kaski district chief Tek Bahadur said that after receiving information about the plane crash in the Seti River valley, he instructed the hospital and ambulances to be on high alert.
At this moment the rescue operation continues and the number of fatalities is unknown.
