
At least 35 people were injured Friday after a bus overturned on the outskirts of the German city of Magdeburg, capital of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, authorities have confirmed.
Police have indicated that six of the injured are in serious condition and detailed that the bus, which was carrying 54 people, went off the road and overturned for unknown reasons.
According to information gathered by the German news agency DPA, the passengers are from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Belgium, among other countries, although at the moment there is no official confirmation on this matter.
The bus was covering the route between the Polish capital, Warsaw, and Belgium. Cranes and rescue workers are working at the scene to evacuate the injured and remove the wreckage from the road.
