At least two people have been killed and five others wounded as a result of Russian shelling of the Ukrainian town of Nikopol, located on the banks of the Dnieper River opposite Energodar, the site of the Zaporiyia power plant.
»It is a difficult day (…). During the day, the occupation army of the Russian Federation fired four times with heavy artillery at two communities of the Nikopol district,» lamented the governor of Dnipropetrovsk, Mikola Lukashuk, Ukrinform reports.
According to the governor, the Russian Armed Forces have fired more than fifty shells on the city, hitting a transport company and a three-storey residential building, as well as private houses and agricultural buildings.
Beyond Nikopol, at the national level the day has passed without major incidents, although it is true that the day before the Russian threats caused the anti-aircraft alarms to sound in a large part of the Ukrainian territory.
