Hundreds of migrants attempted to cross the U.S.-Mexico border Sunday at a border entry point in El Paso, Texas.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has reported that this attempted entry has caused disruptions along the border, while authorities have erected barricades, as reported by CNN.
In this sense, they have added that »they implemented port hardening measures», with the intention of »maintaining the legal and orderly flow of entry» while »protecting the safety of legitimate trade and travel».
U.S. authorities have reported similar attempts to breach the border at other entrances in the region, such as the Bridge of the Americas or the Stanto crossing, where they also erected temporary barriers, NBC reports.
