Brazilian federal deputy Sargento Conçalves, elected last October 3 by Bolsonaro’s party, started a live prayer on Instagram this Sunday after learning the news of the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), in which he assured that they will not lose the country «because of the devil.»

«It is in war, in struggle, in difficulty, in defeats that we will know the true soldiers of Christ on this earth. We will not lose this nation because of the devil», said the representative appointed by the state of Rio Grande do Norte in the broadcast as part of his prayer.

After finishing the video in which he wiped his tears with the country’s flag, he shared an image that read «God is still in control. He is still God», as reported by the Brazilian newspaper ‘O Globo’.

However, this deputy has not been the only Bolsonaro supporter who has spoken out in recent hours on social networks after learning the election result.

Many people have expressed «in mourning» for Lula’s victory and have shared a ribbon with the flag of Brazil, which has generated the reaction of other citizens who have recovered the bad situation that the country went through during the pandemic and the hundreds of thousands of deaths.
