Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with strengthening Ukraine’s defensive capabilities and repairing the energy infrastructure as the main issues.
Thus, Zelenski has confirmed on his Twitter profile that the conversation, «extremely important and productive», has served to adopt «specific decisions» on both issues. «Thank you my friend for your unconditional support,» Zelenski concluded.
For his part, President Macron used the same channel to emphasize that France is committed to «increasing military support to Ukraine as soon as possible», especially in terms of air defense.
With regard to critical infrastructures of water and electricity supply, Macron has called for «action before winter». In this regard, he signaled his intention to mobilize the international community and the private sector as soon as possible.
The Russian Armed Forces have emphasized their offensive against Ukraine in recent weeks by targeting energy and water supply facilities just before the onset of winter, which is particularly cold in Ukraine.
